STEVIA is a herb that is native to Paraguay. The dried leaves of the plant
have been used as a sweetener and flavour enhancer for centuries. It has no
kilojoules/calories and contains no carbohydrates.
STEVIA is:-
*100 to 300 times sweeter than sugar.
*suitable for diabetics
* is delicious in recipes calling for sweetness but is not suitable in
recipes that call for the abilities and texture of sugar.
*not affected by high temperatures.
HOW TO USE STEVIA
*The most important thing to remember is don't use too much as
this can leave a bitter after taste.
*Place a pinch of STEVIA in the pot with the loose tea leaves. Stevia
leaves will not dissolve in the cup.
or
*place approximately 3/4 of a teaspoon of STEVIA in a cup of boiling
water, leave to cool, strain and use. This will keep for about 2 days or one
week in the refrigerator.
